WHS JV Falls In Back-And-Forth Affair Against Arrowhead

WHS JV and Arrowhead played a tight game, but Arrowhead pulled out the 5-4 victory on Monday. The game was tied at four with Arrowhead batting in the bottom of the sixth when Burns singled off of Brett Faltersack, driving in one run.

WHS JV lost despite out-hitting Arrowhead eight to six.

Arrowhead scored four runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Arrowhead came thanks to a single by Schraufnagel, a single by Quadracci, and a single by Bartolone.

Burns earned the win for Arrowhead. He threw one and two-thirds innings, surrendering two runs, two hits, striking out two, and walking one. Ripplinger recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Arrowhead. Brett Faltersack took the loss for WHS JV. He went one and one-third innings, allowing one run, one hit, striking out one, and walking zero.

Nick Logan started the game for WHS JV. He tossed four and two-thirds innings, surrendering four runs, five hits, and striking out four. LaMack started the game for Arrowhead. He pitched four and a third innings, surrendering two runs, four hits, and striking out four.

WHS JV collected eight hits. Ryan Hogquist and Faltersack each collected multiple hits for WHS JVFaltersack and Hogquist all had two hits to lead WHS JV.

WHS JV Grabs Lead In Seventh Inning For Victory Over Stoughton

WHS JV took the lead late in the game in a 3-2 victory over Stoughton on Friday. The game was tied at two with WHS JV batting in the top of the seventh when Nick Logan hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Daniel Denault struck out 11, while Kalinowski sat down three.

WHS JV captured the lead in the first inning. A wild pitch by Kalinowski scored one run for WHS JV.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Stoughton tied things up at two. Schigur singled on a 1-1 count in the sixth inning, scoring one run.

Denault earned the win for WHS JV. He went seven innings, allowing two runs, four hits, striking out 11, and walking one. Kalinowski took the loss for Stoughton. He threw seven innings, surrendering three runs, eight hits, and striking out three.

WHS JV collected eight hits. Denault and Payton Foltz each collected multiple hits for WHS JV.Foltz and Denault each managed two hits to lead WHS JV.

Stoughton had four hits in the game. Schigur and Johnson each collected multiple hits for Stoughton. Stoughton didn't commit a single error in the field. Desping had the most chances in the field with seven.
